St. Brendans Church
455 Whalley Ave.
New Haven, Connecticut

Damaged decorative or ornamental plaster elements, including ceiling details, moldings, cornices and egg and dart moldings, can be repaired in place or exactly reproduced.

At St. Brendan's Church, we repaired water damaged ceiling and wall tiles by reproducing existing plaster decorative elements and introducing them into the work. Below, Robert Young can be seen taking a mold from an intact section of frieze work to use to reproduce a damaged section. Some sections of the newly restored plasterwork were gilded.
